This week is Mental Health Stigma Awareness week! CHANNAL, in partnership with Stella’s Circle and Schizophrenia Society NL, will be hosting different activities around the city from March 6 – March 10, 2017.
Monday, March 6 will see a flash mob in Scotiabank Centre lobby at 12:00, followed by information booths until 2:00PM.
Thursday, March 9 is the 3rd annual variety show at Gower St. United Church, 99 Queen’s Road, from 7:00 – 9:00PM (doors open 6:30)
Friday is an open house at CHANNAL’s regional office, 284 LeMarchant, from 2:00-4:00PM.
The week is an opportunity to raise awareness around the stigma associated with mental illness while affirming that individuals living with mental health issues are everyday people.
Admission to all events is free and some refreshments will be provided. We appreciate everyone respecting that these are safe and sober events. All are welcome.
