Our Table officially opens in Pleasantville

Today, Stella’s Circle and Food First NL were thrilled to welcome partners, supporters, and community members to the Grand Opening of Our Table—a new shared community space located at 77 Charter Avenue (Suite 100) in Pleasantville.

Our Table brings together food-based programs that make it easier for people to access healthy food, build skills, and connect with others. The space is home to:

  • Hungry Heart Cafe, an award-winning social enterprise of Stella’s Circle, offering delicious grab-and-go meals in a warm and welcoming café space. Hours: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Food on the Move, Food First NL’s mobile, affordable, fresh food market
  • The Avalon Food Hub, which supports local producers by offering a single point of sale for food from across the region

The space will also host additional food-focused programs and community activities in partnership with organizations from across the region. After major renovations, the former meeting room has been transformed into a bright, multi-purpose community hub featuring a teaching kitchen, walk-in fridge, and flexible space for training and community events.

Renovations were supported through funding contributions from the Government of Canada (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (Department of Jobs, Growth, and Rural Development), and the City of St. John’s Capital Grants Program, along with additional support for programming and equipment from other funders, including the Basil Dobbin Family Foundation and the Northpine Foundation.
