Run for Women is taking place in Newfoundland & La

Run for Women is taking place in Newfoundland & Labrador on May 28, 2023!

You can run or walk, in-person or virtually. Start a team, join a team or donate - there's so many ways to get involved and show your support.

All proceeds raised in the province go to women's programming at Stella's Circle.

We recently received a very generous donation of hair care products from Redken and O'Regan Agencies Ltd.!

Naomi Centre, our shelter for women aged 16-29, received 700 pieces of hair care products, including shampoo, conditioner and styling products!

Hair and hygiene items are some of the most needed and requested items for many of our participants. This donation will go a long way in helping with that need and bring some comfort to those we serve.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all who helped make this donation possible!

We'll be showing you around some of the many spaces of Stella's Circle, where you'll meet employees who make a huge impact each and every day for over 1,000 people a year.

Donate to Light Up hope your donation will be matched! You can donate to Stella's Circle in aid of Light Up Hope at the Stella's Circle website (www.stellascircle.ca). Donations will be matched by a community partner for the first $12,500 donated!

The Stella's Circle #Inclusion Choir performed in front of hundreds of attendees this morning at the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour (NLFL) Convention!

Get ready to help us #Lightuphope!

On Tuesday, November 29, we will be presenting Light Up Hope, our annual holiday celebration! We'll be Lighting Up Hope at Home, so you can join us from your favourite comfortable spot!

This year we will be welcoming you into our "home" where you will meet Stella's Circle staff through virtual open houses and learn how they help our participants find Real Homes, Real Help and Real Work.

We'll also have some entertainment and special segments, which we'll announce in the coming weeks!

Light Up Hope is presented on Giving Tuesday - the first Tuesday after Black Friday - where people recognize the spirit of giving. From now until November 29 you can support Light Up Hope by visiting www.stellascircle.ca and click on the "Giving Tuesday" button on the top of the page to donate.

Madeline Bury of @breadboxnl has been graciously donating bread and bakery items to our participants!

Madeline embodies the spirit of social enterprise, using profits and materials from the business to help fill the needs of people in her community like those supported by Stella's Circle.

Here you see her from her first donation several months ago, and she has visited us regularly since. We're so pleased to have been the beneficiary of fresh, local products! Thank you Madeline!!

Our Board helps guide our efforts to connect over 1,000 people a year to Real Homes, Real Help and Real Work.

If you have a passion for social justice, are 19 years of age or over and reside in Newfoundland & Labrador, you are eligible to apply.

Applications are being accepted until September 9th.

All summer, the Hungry Heart Cafe uses produce grown in our very own backyard (well, back parking lot)! Our Property & Development team puts up a greenhouse that is maintained by the cafe, our Green Team and our Horticultural Specialist.

The greenhouse represents the cooperation between our many teams and services, and how we strive to lift each other up in order to help our participants.

It has never been more important to have a reliabl

It has never been more important to have a reliable internet-enabled device. For our participants, a cell phone can mean the ability to connect with loved ones, find employment, gain access to services, make appointments and so much more.

We are looking for used, working phones that we can provide to participants of our programs.

If you have a phone you would like to donate, please contact marketing@stellascircle.ca or call 738-8390, OR simply follow the instructions below:

- log out of your phone (such as Apple ID or Google account)
- perform a factory reset (reset does not necessarily log you out of your phone)
- drop the phone off to our office at 142 Military Road (behind the Hungry Heart Cafe).
