Real Help

Stella’s Circle offers a range of residential, community, and correctional-based counselling services to support people through life’s challenges. We believe that with the necessary supports, people can reach their fullest potential.

Our services help people to achieve higher levels of personal independence and self-reliance. We help participants recover from personal challenges and change their lives for the better.

Emmanuel House is a residential counselling program offering a supportive environment to adults experiencing challenges with mental health, addictions, and trauma, as well as those with criminal justice histories. Participants stay for a multi-week period and take part in individual counselling, therapeutic groups, and life skills support. They work together on chores and cooking, and participate in recreational activities. We provide follow-up services to help people make the transition from Emmanuel House back into the community, including help with housing and employment for a successful recovery.

We accept self-referrals or referrals from others including health care providers, family counselling agencies, government departments, or family and friends of individuals needing support.

The Community Support Program (CSP) provides intensive assistance to adults with complex mental health needs who live independently in St. John’s. The goal of the program is to improve the overall quality of participants’ lives, and to reduce the length and number of admissions to hospitals and prisons.

Our services are tailored to the needs of each person. We provide holistic support to people in their homes, assisting individuals with daily living skills and with activities that promote their wellness, independence, and integration into the community. We also offer links to training, housing, and employment opportunities.

We accept self-referrals or referrals from others including health care providers, correctional supervision programs, government departments, or family and friends of individuals needing support. The program is voluntary and individuals must agree to the referral.
