Join us as we Light Up Hope at Stella’s Circle for Giving Tuesday.
On Tuesday, November 28 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Rawlins Cross we will Light Up Hope for the 3rd year in a row. There will be hot chocolate, cider, cookies, and most importantly, it is the perfect feel-good event to start your holiday season!
Giving Tuesday follows Black Friday & Cyber Monday and it was established to encourage people to join the movement dedicated to giving back at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. It is a day where charities, companies, and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes, and think about others.
We hope you will donate to Stella’s Circle in honour of Giving Tuesday and for the third year in a row, our amazing community partner Bluedrop will match your donation.* Donating is easy – you can do it in the following ways:
- Text LIGHTUPHOPE to 20222 to donate $10 or $25
- Visit StellasCircle.ca – there’s a Giving Tuesday button at the top right corner of the page!
- Contact us: [email protected] / 709-738-7730
The tag line for Stella’s Circle is Hope Lives Here. By literally lighting up hope, we want people to remember the spirit of the season and the importance of giving back to those in need. It is a heartwarming reminder that the holidays are not just about shopping and gifts.
For many of our Stella’s Circle participants the holidays can be a difficult time. For other people Christmas is the perfect time to reach out and help others. Giving Tuesday allows people to help in an easy and effective way.
The mission of Stella’s Circle is to transform lives by offering Real Homes, Real Help, and Real Work. One thousand participants are assisted each year. Our vision is a home, a job, a community.
Many thanks also go to our community partner Perfect Day for donating their time to design our wonderful Giving Tuesday images. Perfect Day staff are strong advocates for social justice and we appreciate their commitment to being a community-minded organization.
*Bluedrop is matching donations up to a maximum of $2500.
