Inspired by the new skating surface, The Loop, at Bannerman Park, our Hungry Heart Cafe started offering Loop Bags last year. These picnics are a great way to enjoy the summer breeze at the park or in other locations.

You have a choice of menus ($18) as well as a kids menu ($10). It includes an entrée, side salad, dessert and drink. Everything is packed for you and ready to go.  Just call ahead (738-6164) and place your order. The Hungry Heart Cafe is open everyday from 8 am – 3 pm.

You probably know that the Hungry Heart Cafe is more than just a cafe! It also has a mission to train participants in the food services sector. For the 2015-16 fiscal year, for example, Stella’s Circle participants worked 9000 hours in the Cafe, an increase of 3000 hours from the previous year. In addition, 19 people received food services training at the Cafe. As you can see, the Cafe is much more than a restaurant and catering business! In fact, we were the first organization in the province to receive the Buy Social designation.
