Stella’s Circle Responds to Urgent COVID-19 Need with a Donation Match Campaign for #GivingTuesdayNow
Stella’s Circle is responding to meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable members by launching a donation match campaign leading up to #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5, 2020.
#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
When you donate to Stella’s Circle today until May 5, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar by the Stella’s Circle Board of Directors and Foundation Board, up to $5000, doubling the impact of your gift. The members of our boards have been unwavering in their support of our COVID-19 response as we continually innovate to deliver all of our services. Stella’s Circle participants regularly face barriers such as mental illness, addictions, poverty, homelessness, criminal justice involvement and long periods of unemployment. They need more support now than ever before, in more ways than ever before. COVID-19 has increased the demand for Stella’s Circle services and programs, and the expense of delivering these supports while practicing safe physical distancing measures is quickly increasing costs. With pandemic measures still in effect for weeks to come, Stella’s Circle has an urgent need for monetary donations.
